JUN 14: MOVIE WATCHLIST
BLACK HORROR: A REWATCHATHON - The Blackening (Horror Comedy) 9/10 She's corny on purpose in the best way. And none of our core cast dies cause in Black horror we don't kill off our people. - Get Out (Horror Classic) 10/10 This as a rewatch is absolutely insane. The care that is put into Daniel Kaluuya's character and the circulatory of his path is so masterful. You see something new in each watch. It's a classic in my opinion for a reason and sets the standard in the genre (side note: I am so unbelievably excited for Jordan Peele's next film 'Him' coming out this September) - Blink Twice (Psychological Thriller) 9/10 I love this movie for its trueness to its film category. Billionaire on an Island doing diabolical shit to unsuspecting guests of which our heroine is the only one asking questions. The Ayo Edebiri film Opus that just come out of A24 (consistent with the quality psychological horrors) fits this same archetype, but I think I enjoyed this film...
