Talk It Out

It has been said that in times of unexpected turmoil the best course of action is to move backwards. Not in progression but in mind and spirit to retrace the steps that led you to the most current of dillemas.

Though I personally feel a definitive start date is impossible to pick because the decisions you make in life do not simply alter the course in one specific way. Decisions affect decisions, other people's experience effect how we handle our own. And because of this continuous overlap of shared humanities life can not have one simple path.

It's a lot like the Multiverse, for DC Comic fans. For yall, Marvel people just think of Endgame and all the time travel and creation of alternate timelines. There are infinite worlds and infinite possibilities. In one future you could be a world renowned physicist, in another world you could make all the same decisions and go through all the same trials in life except someone you've never met could alter there own timeline by making a different decision. You could cross paths with them and alters your own path, end up being a patrol cop or you might not cross paths with them at all.

In one timeline you could have a dog, in another you hate pets.

It's a meticulous game of what if's and maybe's. And somedays I think it's best to choose not to play. It seems there is no winning anyway when everything affects everything, but that's usually where I realize I'm incorrect. You see, to some extent life is just a game of dumb luck and chance. Some things are meant to be. But most of the time when you want something enough, when you choose to see past the random chance of misfortune and claim your own 'destiny' you can make your dreams happen.

Or maybe you can't. And that's okay because prescribing to the everything happens for a reason, fate exists wagon means that failure has purpose. Also if you belive fate isn't real and you make your own destiny than it still stands that failure is a step in the path toward success.

The point I'm trying to make is that some days suck. I have had more than enough sucky days. I'm sure you can relate. I mean you're sitting here listening to me explain Multiverses and fate or the lack thereof. It is clear that you have nothing better to do. (I say in the most non-rude way ever you kind human being that has decided to bless me with your views)

But if you're still here than something I've set resonates with you too. I just want to note that some of my worst days ever have also been my best. It doesn't matter how you see the grand plan of life or how many times you fail. It all in how you react.

My worst days can be my best because I didn't give up. The light is in taking your darkest moments and finding the light you need to guide yourself out of it. And while reflection is key, it isn't going to undo what's been done. It isn't going to do the healing for you. It will simply identify the problems more clearly, how you choose to heal. When you choose to heal. That is entirely up to you.

Thank you,
